Labuan Med Check --> induction

LABUAN- Just yesterday i went to Klinik Kesihatan Labuan and was disappointed by them regarding my medical check up form. I received letter from SPA a day before that and there is medical check up form inside. So as other people would normally did, i went to Klinik Kesihatan to do that medical check up.

When i went to Klinik Kesihatan Labuan, i have to take number and wait for my turn. After that, my number was called and i went to the counter and tell them my intention to get a medical check up for SPA. They said " you cannot do this med check up not until you receive letter that tell you where you will be working later. If we do this check up, we need about 2-3 weeks to process and if you are posted to other state then it will be difficult. You can do it in the state where you are posted later."

I was like...confused. Then what should i do? They asked me to meet their superior and the same thing was said by their superior.

I asked him " What if i was called to report my self next week or the week after and my medical check up form was not completed yet?"

Then they replied " Never mind, you can do it later after u report urself. Does not matter. They will understand."

I was like...stunned. So i do not need to complete this? But my other friend, some of them, already completed their form and be ready for everything.

After a few hours of waiting and thinking, i then choose an optional method. Doing it in private sector.

When i first step into the private clinic asking about my medical check up, i asked " I want to do medical check up, how long will it take to complete it?"

They replied, " oh, will finish today also, take around 30 minutes for x-ray, urine drugs, and everything else."

Haha. So i did my medical check up in private clinic. easy, with money.

Today, another thing happen when i woke up from my dream in the morning. There are 5 sms in my inbox from my gf pika, my ex roomate nadrin, and my sifu sylves telling me that induction letter was out. I thought it will take 1 week for us to prepare but what the heck, we have to go next monday. 4 days from now and i haven't received my letter. What the heck.

My life start a little chaotic today. I hate it.

Labuan Fever

1. Labuan is a very hot island. Everyone that has been to labuan know about this. If you never been to labuan, you can try once. If you hate dark skin, labuan is not a place for you.

2. In other places (most of them), when you are not exposed directly to the sunlight, you will not get a darker skin but here in Labuan, even you stay at home or under the shed, you will still become darker. Just with the indirect sunlight, you will feel how hot this island is. If you exposed yourself directly under the sunlight, you will get sun burn. Surely.

3. Inside my house now, the temperature is 36 degree celcius. It is almost equal to your core body temperature. I doubt the temperature outside the house under the sunlight is lower than this.

4. Why is it so hot nowadays? Is Global Warming real? Can we do something about it?

5. The only way to avoid this hot condition is to use air-cond. The environmental friendly aircond of course. That is why almost every household in labuan have at least one aircond in their home. For those who does not have one, they need to endure the hot climate here. Most of Labuanite also build their home from stone and brick rather than wood because during day time, house made of rock is much cooler than wood but during night time, it is vice versa.

6. Oh, i miss the time when Labuan is much cooler than now. The time when i can walk under the sunlight to school or play foot ball or do recreational activity at 4 PM. Now you can't go out at 4PM, you need to wait until 5PM ( the time when the temperature start to cool down). And oh i miss my blanket. Long time ago, every night i will sleep under my blanket but now, bye bye blanket, i do not need you anymore.

Another problem came with the hot temperature....mosquito. A lot of dengue cases reported here in Labuan today.

Paha Paha

1. This is a type of leave that grow from a bunch of tree called Paha Paha around my house. Obviously for me and most Brunei tribe of people in Labuan ( or can i say all labuanite) know about this leaves. It was classified as vegetables by most people who knew about it. Still, it does not look like one and the tree look like hibiscus tree and can grow up to 4 metres tall. Only the young leaves is edible.

2. It does look like a normal type of leaves but beware, it was a delicacy. Its taste superior to other vegetables you ever eat. It is sweet and have this king of natural MSG inside it. Just boil it with anything or stir fry it with nothing else, you will taste the most delicious vegetable ever in your life.

3. It was not so rare and it grow almost anywhere. But as it seem that people never realize that this leaves is edible that is why not many people have the chance to taste this leave. Once there was a restaurant in Labuan who specially bring this leaves into their menu. But, i guess now as this leaves rarely sold in the market ( lot of vegetables in Labuan imported from Sabah and Labuanite themselves too lazy to get inside the forest near their house to look for this tree). Now, if you want to taste this leaves, you need to be friend with a labuanite whom their mother know about this leave and know how to cook it.

4. Fortunately, there are plenty of this tree growing around my house so that every evening we would go and pick it for dinner. It was so delicious i told you. Sweet and crunchy at the same time. Some people confused this leaves with 'cangkuk manis' or 'pucuk kayu manis'. It is totally different. The tree is not edible itselg like kayu manis or cinnamon, and if you eat the old leaves from this Peha Peha tree, it taste bitter and horrible. The young one, sweet as candy.

5. I am thinking that not many young generations knew about this leave. I am fortunate to be the one who know it. So i make this post to make sure that somehow, people will know about it and maybe know the scientific name for it so we can search it in the internet further to know the details and properties of this leaves.

6. For now, i did not know the scientific name for it. I will stick to its traditional brunei name - Peha Peha @ paha-paha. Peha means thigh. I do not know why they called it 'thigh', my assumption is that a women is trying to reach for the 'pucuk' or the young leaves on the top of the tree and maybe because it is too high, so exposing her thigh or whatsoever so people start calling it Peha-Peha. haha. Not a very good legend story made by me.

CSL Phone ?

1. Not many know about this brand called CSL. It is claimed to be the first Malaysian brand Handphone. However, i learned that the part for this mobile phone was imported from China. They assemble it in Malaysia though. So not so strong enough to claim this as a Malaysian Phone. It should be called hybrid or something.

2. So when i bought my phone almost 2 years ago, this brand was all new. So no one had a good review on it. I was taking a risk to buy it. The reason is because this phone is cheap and look exactly like those branded phone. It was like a clone phone from other brand such as nokia.

3. So, after 2 years, if someone ask me whether it is good or not? I would say don't buy it for the moment. This phone main problem is the software it is not that user friendly type. But that does not matter for a guy that can think a little complicated than user-friendly.

4. The main drawback is the battery life. The battery will only last for a few hours after maybe 2-3 months. So this is why many people who bought this phone become angry and abandon it for the other major brand phone.

5. However..haha... my phone is kind of different. Since the day i use it until now, there are no problem occuring. The keypad work fine like Nokia (no lag), the battery last for at least 3 days before i need to recharge it. And i also got 2 battery when i bought my phone.

6. Another problem is the charge itself. CSL only provide USB charger for all of its phone, as far as i know, so as you all know, USB port is not suitable for frequent insert and eject type of port. It became loose faster than you can ever imagine. So when your phone USB port is already loose so the charger would not work properly. However, hehe, my phone has an extra port ( a charging port) for nokia type of charger adapter. So i can use nokia charger to charge my csl phone. How handy is that.

haha. so in the end, i am kind of satisfy with my csl phone DS300. It was smart, thin, light, work like nokia, look like nokia. The only thing i hate about it the software. So after this, i am sure that i want to buy a HTC, iphone, or any other brand of pda phone. But that will have to wait until i get a job and salary.

Roti canai

1. What is the most common breakfast in Malaysia? None other than Roti Canai with a glass of sweet Teh Tarik.

2. It does not matter which state you came from, when ask about it, everyone seem to be familiar with it. Another interesting fact about it is that everyone seem to have this roti canai outside. Rarely you heard that someone is enjoying homemade roti canai or eat roti canai at home. Everyone must eat it outside.

3. I am not sure but they said that this delicacies originated from India, brought by Indian immigrant to Malaysia but it seem that we cannot find this food in India. It can be only enjoyed here in Malaysia and Singapore i think and Brunei also. Thus, this is Malaysian food. Now it made not only by indian but also malay, chinese and of you are in Sabah, it was made by 30+ different tribe here in malaysia and even non-malaysian in Sabah (illegal immigrant) can made this simple and delicious breakfast.

4. This roti canai is similar to roti paratha i think because if you found frozen paratha in supermarket and then you heat it at home, it taste the same. But don't bother going out from your house in the morning to buy this roti canai, it was worth.

5. Actually, i post this Roti canai picture in this post not because of its history or its taste, but the picture i posted hear is taken exactly on the day when they announce our professional exam. The biggest exam so far in my life. I remember going to BTC cafe just beside the hospital to eat breakfast with my girlfriend just after a brief talk by our external examiner from Singapore.

6. To tell you the truth, it was the worse taste of Roti canai (even though it was actually really really nice crispy and the curry is perfect with chutney on the top of my roti make me want to have second) because i really nervous, afraid and feel like i want to die at that time. I have palpitation since the morning i woke up from my non-dreamy sleep. I was afraid. Really afraid.

However, in the end, everything goes well. I passed my exam. I am qualify to become a house officer but still not working now because of some problem with my registration (and all my other friends too).

In the end, i miss that morning eating with my pika. We don't have a lot of chances to eat breakfast together in Hospital because we usually posted in different hospital during my 5th year of study.

Eminem's Recovery : Album Review

1. Slim shady is back. After a year of waiting, i finally has a chance to listen to his sequel of the previous Relapse album that was released on 2009. Some people say that this is the most anticipated hip hop album of the year. After a year of announcement on its released, finally the album is here.

2. When i hear his previous Relapse album, i was a little disappointed since the flow and Eminem's style totally change and sound a little rubbish and boring, so i hope Recovery won't follow the step of Relapse.

3. Luckily, it does not. This new album reveal a brand new style of Eminem fused with his old angry lyrical style, honest, but he is much better controlled than last year. No more song for dissing a lot of pop celebrity or many call it as " Please stand up song". All the song in this album is much more honest than before.

What is good about this album?

4. The good thing about the album is, the lyrics is much stronger than before, and the way Em deliver it is much more clearer than what he did in last Relapse album. The music is different as eminem try to fuse a lot of ballad kind of sound in his lyric and a lot of new thing to be heard inside this album. from track 1 till the end, every song is reasonably listenable. Of course some of the song is just lyric and nothing special, but there is a lot of thing that worth to hear inside the album.

The strongest song?

5. Everyone heard Eminem new single called 'Not Afraid'.. the song is different yet still show Eminem way of rapping. he lyric is strong enough. However, i found that his song entitled " love the way you lie" featuring Rihanna is equally strong as Not Afraid. I believe this song is written no.1 all over it. Other song such as Space Bound, No love featuring Lil wayne, Won't back down feat Pink, 25 to life, Going through changes feat Ozzy Osbourne and So bad, is unique hip hop song.

The not good song?

6. I can say every song is reasonably listenable but, yes, there is some song that i think should not be there in this album. This is especially for the song entitled 'You're Never over' which is dedicated to his late friend Proof. This song is, maybe, be putted inside this album because it was a dedication to proof, but it was totally rubbish song.

A song called Cinderella man is quite unique, however, it is sucks. It sound ugly. Maybe too new to be good.

So that's it about this album. Only a brief. You should and buy it on your own. And for your information, the album will be released next week. So please be patient. I am definitely go and buy this album.

Here is the song list from this album:

1 Cold Wind Blows
2 Talkin’ 2 Myself feat. Kobe
3 On Fire
4 Won’t Back Down feat. P!NK
5 W.T.P.
6 Going Through Changes
7 Not Afraid
8 Seduction
9 No Love feat. Lil Wayne
10 Space Bound
11 Cinderella Man
12 25 to Life
13 So Bad
14 Almost Famous
15 Love the Way You Lie feat. Rihanna
16 You’re Never Over

Swarm of Bee in World Cup

1. I've been wondering since the 2010 World Cup started a few days ago, what is that buzzing sound? It sound like a swarm of bee that live under our home sink in the kitchen.

2. My mother always complaining about the sound and told us to lower down the volume so that the buzzing sound cannot be heard, but of course, we can't hear anything in the TV if we lower down the volume so that the buzzing sound disappear.

3. . So i had enough of wondering today so i look in the internet and i found out that the buzzing sound was produce by an instrument called Vuvuzela.

4. Oh, ouch, i thought that sound is produce by a swarm of bee. My father (on the first day of World Cup 2010) said that the sound was intentionally created as a theme for this year world cup. I guess it is not since lot of people are protesting about the sound, most of them who are in South Africa right now.

5. Imagine you are in that stadium with that loud buzzing sound...oh you will become deaf in a month.

6. Vuvuzela, vuvuzela. watching football is now different because of you.

Stop HIV

And the number is increasing every year. 87000 in 27 years. IF we did not open our mind to stop this, there will be much more HIV infection later in the future. \

I believe that the number will be higher. There will be more than 128 000, if we did not do anything about it. Thus we determine the future. We determine the figure.
Every life is precious to us and we don't want any more people die because of this disease. It is a preventable disease. It can be stopped.
There could be people with HIV all around you, you should protect yourselves, you should increase awareness of the people around you, live a healthy life, can tested.

Young people is affected more thus education is the most single important thing to prevent the spread of the disease.

Aids did not kill own its own, it's weaken our immune system or body defense system against other infection making you cannot fight any infection own your own. Even a non life threatening infection can be deadly in AIDS patient.

The one who suffer the most is the children. Imagine you are born with the virus, you did not do anything wrong but you still suffer the rest of your life.
10 people everyday infected by HIV in Malaysia.

Yeah, it is cool to protect yourself. But if you have AIDS, it would be a different thing. You have to take medication everyday, a small infection can kill you, and your quality of life will reduce. Prevention is better than cure.

This is a single message that most people don't want to accept. They would always say that their culture and religion and tradition is enough to prevent this disease. I remember my professor once said that 'It is all rubbish! No matter what religion are you, what belief you hold within you, you could not prevent HIV with it. The only single method that is proved to prevent it is condoms. And if you think abstinence is your choice, it would not be wrong to bring a condom with you because it is not a crime". Our professor always said that everyone should not look at this issues as a taboo. If we still think it as a taboo, look at the statistic. 87000 people with HIV, 13000 people die? Do our religion and belief halt so that the number increase?

Twilight ; Real good, good, or not good at all?

1. I've watched Twilight. Both of 'em. I did not read the book though, but i guess it is an ok story.

2. From my perspective, the story of twilight is like a love version of underworld. A story about vampire..well, i don't like vampire that much. And...nothing more than that. It is a typical love story franchise, and i can say it is the biggest love story franchise there is in the world today.

3. However, from my own research which include not a significant number of candidate but still, i believe most of other additional candidate will answer the same thing..... that twilight strongest value is the male character, the sexiness of the male inside the movie.

4. Twilight is really clever, who ever make twilight should be call a clever person since as we know, if you can attract girls in the world, you will conquer the world and you can neglect the insignificant number of boys, men, and old people no matter what gender they are.

5. If i myself want to go watch that movie's sequel, i would not after i watched the first movie but i went to watch it because of my girl of course. One point to the matter, girls can control boys. And boys does not care if girls control them.

6. But, that movie is not that heavenly good i guess. Sometime i find it lame when they slow motion every male character posing with their cute face or six pack abdomen show off. But as i mention earlier, the movie is not for me, it is for girls. So fair enough, it deserves it. As much as Transformer deserves boys audiences because of Megan Fox. hah.

Anggak...gecko

. Something funny happen today. A few people in my village are searching for some lizard called anggak ( in my brunei language). They say that this lizard cost up to Rm30 000 in the market. What funny about this is that this lizard used to live in our house a few years ago, not one, but many of them live.

2. It was maybe more than 10 years ago. During that time, tormal house lizard was eaten by this big lizard. It was scary. I used to be scared by this kind of lizard and if i saw it ( i was a child at that time), i will run away and shout..."ahh...anggak...." then start to call my dad to throw it away.

3. After a quite some time, those lizard start to disappear from our house. Some of them were eaten by our cats. We used to throw them away because it was not nice when you sit in your living room, and one of the big lizard start to crawl on your ceiling. Not nice to see. Thus, today, i never see them again. I wonder why. And i almost forgot their name...anggak.

4. Now people searching for it again because of its unusual high price. I wonder if it still live in our house, we will be instantly rich. hahha.

5. Maybe a lot of people did not know what is anggak. So i don't have my own picture collection of this kind of lizard so i search up in the internet and i found some picture of it taken by those people who are selling this lizard.

6. I wonder if we need to protect this kind of lizard...obviously i am concern about it since i never see it anymore around my house. They could be endangered species or something like that. I don't know. As far as i know, people looking for it not to keep it as a pet but to eat them. They said it contain healing property which i found doubtful. They are lizard. Just lizard for me.

Okay here is some picture of it that i found in the internet

Hehe..scary huh if this big lizard crawling in your wall and ceiling at night. And it produce a sound that sound like this .." angkk..angkk.." i don't know. huhuhu. This picture look like a normal lizard, but it was bigger than this. and it have variety of colour too.

World to Israel assumption

1. A lot of assumption had been made since the flotilla incident about a few days ago. People start protesting everywhere around the world towards Israel. Well, it was a relieve to see that there are still human around the world after a very long period, we only see America and Israel species raging their voices.

2. What i like about this kind of protester is, they did not make assumption like those who are pro israel do. The protest were backed up by the fact that a human crime was done by the side they are protesting. In the other hand, those pro Israel side always make an assumption.

3. The assumption is about the flotilla is a propaganda to bring weapon to Hammas in Gaza. The assumption is about the Turkey President trying to win popularity and seed hatred into muslim and nourishing muslim radicalist in Turkey. The assumption is about the supply to be made into weapon in gaza. The assumption is the activist is terrorist not a humanitarian. The assumption is the flotilla intention is to provoke Israel. The assumption is those people who want to save life of other people are actually threating to kill Israelite. The assumption is the commando carrying weapon and live bullet is defending themselves from a live threatening attack from unarmed civilian. The assumption is the world is wrong and israel who are bathing with blood of the people they've killed is right.

4. It is a holocaust syndrome obviously. Whatever wrong deeds they have done, they always right because they were the one who suffer during holocaust. Well, let us see in the future later if people awaken already, realize that Israel is much more cruel that hitler.

5. I hate assumption. They don't have the fact but they act like they know.

6. I feel like i want to shout at their ear saying " Look at this, read, learn, and open your mind!"

5 years blogging

1. It has been 5 years + since i start writing a blog. 10th of February 2006 is my first time writing in a blog and now almost 5 years, i still do.

2. No reason for me to keep my blog alive because i am not chasing for publicity, money, fame, or anything else. I just keep it because of my passion on writing and sharing something with everyone. Although, i will not share more than what i should, and most of my entry is not about my personal life but more on to my personal opinion.

3. I want to make this blog simple, for everyone to look at it, and read it if they want and just that. In my opinion, a rubbish talk i put in my blog could be informative for anyone else. So why not. I myself always searching for a blog for any new update and something that cannot be provided by the any web site. For example, if you want to know about the best place to eat or visit, stop googling into the tourism web site and etc (you can, and you should), but try searching in blogsearch or any blog search engine because here you can read the real opinion. Do you realize when you search for a place to stay in KK, a hotel maybe, every web site gave you those expensive and luxurious place to stay and where you get there, you are kind of disappointed for the poor space and services. If you search into blogs, you will find a place to stay that is cheap, comfortable, and have easy access to everywhere around the city.

4. So, the power of blog as mention by our former prime minister Tun Dr.Mahathir, could not be underestimated. Everyone in public will start to turn their face to the blog site if they find something curious about something in the mass media. So if the tv start saying that wind blow from the west, 1 blogger say it blow from the east, and it was supported by 2-3 comments, then the wind will blow from the east eventually.

5. The most interesting thing about blog is, there is no boundary of it. It is finite but have no boundary. Like Stephen Hawking theory. Haha. You can write and say whatever you want but BEWARE, people kind of start to scare about this and start capturing people because of what they say in their blog. And that is another proof of the power of blog. I stand firm saying that blog should have no boundary because as you can see, the more people writing blogs, the more educated the public are. Even a mak cik in pasar can say that blog content is not true meaning that public is well educated about blog. How about you?

6. In the end, the post should be about me writing for 5 years. talking rubbish and most of my posts were wasting time to read, but i still writing, and will keep writing until one particular time, in the future, where my heart say "that's it, i had enough".... that would be the end of this blog.... or... they end it before me.

Isreal the real living demon

1. I am not referring to all jews cause obviously if you practice true religion, you will not do such thing as israel do. I am very sure that Isreal is doing something wrong since years ago when America and europe won't recongnize every evil deed that this country has performed.

2. Now with the new update that Isreal attack a humanitarian vessels sending supply to gaza, it should open human eyes all over the world towards this matter. What dictionary did they use if they did not define this as terrorism itself perform by israel. Terrorism is not a big word nowadays and Israel should not be exempted from the use of it.

3. Israel as obvious with other media propaganda from the west obviously, with their usual first step toward defending their own kind terrorism, said that the activist in the vessels attack them first... What a propaganda. It is like a child who do not want to first admit his own fault but try to blame other first. A very great defense mechanism.

4. People all over the world, no matter what your religion are, muslim, christian, jew, buddhist, hindus, atheist, all of them should criticize what Israel had done. Not just preventing the humanitarian supply from reaching Gaza, they even killed unarmed people. A people who obviously, if they are aggresive, want to express their concern to the dying people in Gaza.

5. Why are they so blind?

6. Why are we so blind to see? No, they were. I am not.
