IP MAN

IP MAN

  1. It has been a long time since I have seen a good movie in the cinema. A fewdayss ago I am watching The earth Stood Still and Cicakman 2 and I am pretty much disappointed on both movie. Especially Cicakman 2. I am anticipating for that movie but then it end like this. The movie does not have any strength in it. No strength in the story line, no strength in its jokes, and even no strength in the CGI part. As for The earth stood still, as suspected, the CGI part was world class, the story quite strong but still, at the end of the movie, I does not have the excitement of watching. Nothing impressing.
  2. IP MAN? Was is that? At first I heard about the movie, I don't really gave attention on it. But today, as no more movie to watch, I choose IP MAN. And I saw the poster on the cinema wall saying that it was about Bruce Lee's KungFu Master. Ok. Enough for that, I would watch this movie.
  3. At the end of the movie, I really don't want it to end. I really excited. I was really impressed. Until I said to one of my friend after the movie, " I gave this movie 10 stars from 5 stars rating."
  4. The movie was so cool. The kungFu is so beautiful until you feel very contented, very satisfied for every punch Ip Man gave to his opponent. I feel like I want to jump when I was in the movie.
  5. The story about Bruce Lee's Master, as I expected in the beginning of the movie, the Kung Fu would be more superior to Bruce Lee and I am not disappointed.
  6. After Transformerm movie, I would gave my second salute to IP MAN as the movie really can make you suffocate and can't stop thinking about it for the rest of the day and night after you watch the movie.
  7. Anyone who still did not know about this movie, grab your pants quick and rush to the movie. This is one of the best movie for this year. This is not a promotion, but more to my excitement about it. I want to share to everyone. I want people to feel what I felt when I am watching the movie. Salute IP MAN. Who direct this movie actually? I did not pay attention. I just remember that Sammo Hung was the action director. Hmm.. If I could be like IP Man in the movie. Two thumbs up!

RM6.50 Rice!!!

  1. After watching movie, I was really hungry. I missed my lunch because of traffic jam and I have to rush for my movie. So, the only place I want to go is the restaurant located at the basement floor of Centre Point KK.
  2. I chose to watch movie at Centre Point KK rather than 1borneo Hypermall is because I thought that Centre Point KK has more cheaper places to eat. One of the cheapest restaurant would be Nelta. It is a place where I use to eat when I was first year in UMS, the rice plus vegetables and fish/meat would cost rm2.50 only.
  3. But that was years ago, the last time I ate at that place, the same rice, vegetables, and fish cost me RM4.50. Everything is expensive after the petrol prices increase from RM1.90 to RM2.70.
  4. So today, I sat on that restaurant and took a place of rice, vegetables, fish and 2 piece of something ( it is actually corn mixed with flour and deep fried). Hmm, the maximum price for it would be RM5.50 I think. Because if I took the rice with vegetables and fish would cost rm4.50. But as I am not suspected is, it cost me RM6.50. What the heck?
  5. Is it the petrol prices already went down to RM1.80. And why did they charged me RM6.50 for this heck. A meal that would only cost RM5.50. Even in my campus, the same thing would only cost rm3.50. I believed that the campus food is rather cheaper ( it is not actually).
  6. And when I think about it, I was really fool to eat at a place like this. At first I want to go to Grace Point ( a franchise place) but I didn't because I thought in Grace point, the cheaper rice cost me RM6. But now, a small stall, restaurant, that only got B in it cleanliness charged me RM6.50.!!!

Better Eat and Franchise places

  1. As the petrol prices increase, everyone rush to increase the goods their sell, and even food.
  2. Today I realize that, franchise restaurant such as Chicken Hut, KFC, Pizza, and McDonald is a better place to eat rather than kedai mamak, warung, small restaurant run by a person who did not know math.
  3. I was disappointed because every restaurant are increasing the prices of their food like they did not know math. They only think about profit.
  4. And the most disappointing part is when malay run a restaurant, they really reflect that Malay really do not know math. Chinese restaurant sometimes give you more reasonable prices. But not all. I think all the races are the same. All did not know math.
  5. If your restaurant was airconditioned, with a very nice and clean environment, and you charged a plate of rice RM6.50 it would b appropriate. But a restaurant that is hot, not so clean, self services, cost Rm6.50 is not reasonable.

Stupid people.

Say no to Sime Darby for IJN

1. I'm not really sure on how to say about this. But suddenly when i open up my television yesterday around 8pm, I heard about this Sime darby want to takeover IJN or more appropriately said that IJN will be privatize. A little shock about it.

2. Since the beginning, I am so disagree about this because I thought IJN is so grand and important asset of Malaysia and how can it be privatize so easily like privatizing Telecomunication company or something. My point is, IJN is dealing with people health, life and death of someone, and we should not look to IJN as a place to collect money.

3. I am not really sure what privatizing means. I just know exactly that it means, everything would be expensive, price would be twice as high as before and better services promises only upgrade to around 15 % for 100% increase in the price. So, when i heard about this thing, i just know that it mean that you need to double your money before lying on IJN bed for surgery.

4. Today, one of our lecturer, a consultant in hospital describing to us on how he is so disagree about giving IJN to sime darby. He is totally true as he said that IJN is a place where poor people from village would rely to if they need a surgery. No one can afford to go to private hospital or overseas to do bypass surgery.

5. In my opinion, IJN is a heart for Malaysian. We have a high class institute who would perform surgery with affordable cost. Here in Sabah, i can see a lot of poor people having a lot of heart disease. Minus to the people who eat so much or smoke so much and get cardiac problem. I'm looking to the children who have congenital heart disease. They even think twice before going to IJN because of the cost of surgery, but then, with a little help, IJN is affordable in the end. Think about it when IJN own by Sime darby...

6. The promises today would only be promises in the future. We learn from the history. Privatising is not always bring better services or only bring better services with double the original prices.

7. I am so dissapointed when politicians or whoever agree and considering to this proposal. If one really care about the heart of all Malaysian, they would disagree without hesitation.

8. I don't agree. IJN is already stable and whatever problem they have until they need to sell IJN to the private sector is so unreasonable. Maybe you can even sell the whole country to private corporation but not the institute who serve and save thousand of life, thousand of children life. Life is more important that anything else. Health is more important than money. People are more important than the leader.

Bahasa Melayu Takkan hilang di Dunia

1. Again the petrol price decrease here in malaysia. Is it a good sign or a sign of slow economy throught out the world? I am not really into economy.

2. Listening to the current issue of using english language in science and math, I kind of disagree if the program discontinue. I think it is a good program for the young generation to master english later in their life. I feel so regretful because i did not have a chance like them to learn more practical english in school. If do so, my english would be much better today. I think Malay language will not dissappear even you use english for every task in your life. Thats because if someone use english language in school, in work, or anywhere, they will still use Malay language in home. So mastering both language is possible without eliminating one of them.

I remember reading Da Vinci Code, where the main female character was strictly order to use france language in home and english outside the house. It could be a good idea to do something like this here in Malaysia.

3. I was so dissapointed when someone in the TV comparing developed country to Malaysia in term of native language use. When they say that Japan use their own language but still developed, why not Malaysia? This is truly a narrow way to think about it. All the developed country, using their own language even when they developed but not developed because they use their own language. In my opinion, Malaysia is already left 10 years behind the developed country. So, to make a jump to the same level with them is not by sticking to our old fashion of thinking. Mastering people language is one way of advancing forward. Remember thousand year ago when Avecenna translate anciet medical book and compiling it and he become what of the respected people in modern medicine. He did translate other book so he should be knowing and mastering other people language.... think about it.

4. Regarding the petrol price, even it is dropping down rapidly nowadays, the price for rice, fish and other raw materials are still high in the sky. A plate of rice+vegetables+fish cost rm4.50 to RM 5 here in Sabah. I remember one comment from the shopkeeper in Labuan when asked regarding their stuff so expensive even the oil price decrease.

She say " Oh, that is because we bought all the stuff when the oil price is still high ma... wait up for the new stock, it could be cheaper.."

It make sense. But if we think retrospectively, during the first announcement of the increasing oil price, without waiting for the new stock, all the stuff and groceries become so expensive within 24 hours. The previous comment does not make sense in this situation and that is weird.

5. I am so dissapointed looking at non-local patient that does not have money to pay for blood transfusion for their children Beta Thalassemia Major problem which is common here in Sabah.

One day i was in Thalessemia ward room clerking a case, then when i look around, i saw a lot of thalessemia children running around playing. However, in a corner, there is one children lying on the bed looking so pale and weak. When i look to his lab result, his hemoglobin level is 1.6 g/dL. Impossible. He still alive. And waiting for blood to be transfused. When I asked on why he defaulted his blood tranfusion before, the mother said that they got no money to pay for it.

Yes, local Malaysian is so lucky to be Malaysian. To be having a nice and free medical care.

Even if they are non local, they are still human.

So, donate your blood..... even so, they still ask non local to pay.

(non local here mean non-malaysian)

6. I'm in Pediatric posting, so busy, everyday have to stand, clerking patient, bed side teaching, lecture. No time for leisure activity. Sick of it. Eventhougjh, being around so many children sometimes make you feel calm, and make you the way you are. Make you feel so alive, young, and relax. Or pretend to be,

Malique Ok!

1.I just bought Malique Cd entitled Ok!.

2. Salute to Malique. After the last album of Too Phat, 360 degree, i was hoping some more from Too Phat. And when they released Rebirth to Reality album, i am a little dissapointed because not many song in it attract me. Only song like Dua Dunia make me feel hip hop again.

3. But this time when i first listen to this Ok! album, i was really attracted. And i am so enjoyed because of it. How should i describe it. It is like a simple in complexity music, with poweful lyrics, and powerful chorus line. The album is so perfect. And it is a first album that i found really a Malaysian Album. The artistic part, the hip hop part, it was so fused in this album.

4. Song like Mentera Beradu, Kau yang punya, Khayal, and many more can be hear as many time as i could. I was really shocked on how Malique managed to create such a beautiful Malaysia's Hip hop music.

5. Listening to many Bahasa Melayu rapper today, such as ahli fiqir, got one more i listen just a few days ago called sometime like Bebel group or whatever, but this album of Malique really put them in the second place and below. I salute malique for this fascinating album.

6. I listen to Joe Flizzow new song from his new album called Duit or Do it, and he was good to. I still haven't buy his album but i hope that Joe Flizzow album can bring me up like what Ok! did.

7. I give 5/5 star to Malique solo album OK!. Stop with posing western hip hop, now after malique create this album, hip hop in malaysia should change.

Kundasang rude people

1. last week Friday, me and my family was having a nice holiday to Kundasang.

2. I was a little unhappy with Kundasang people because i found out that they are not that friendly as i imagine. Even a hotel receptionist does not have a friendly face or even a smile when we are asking about a room.

3. Only 3 hotel showing a real customer friendly type of services that is Pine Resort Hotel, Perkasa Hotel and Strawberry hotel. We stay at Strawberry hotel because of this factor and the room is affordable. Rm130 pernight with 5 beds in the room.

4. When we are driving inside kundasang town, we are driving so slowly because we are new and we did not know much about the road there. That is when i found out about the rudeness of kundasang people. Almost all of the car honked to us. And even some of them drive pass us and give a 'fuck' sign to us. Is this the way people over there treat tourist ? Or threat?

5. All the vegetables are expensive over there. It is weird because that place is one of the supplier of vegetables but still the price is higher compare to our place in Labuan where vegetables were never planted commercially.

6. We bought some stuff such as durian, cabbage and mushroom and we found out later that we are cheated by them. The durian was raw. The cabbage supposed to cost rm2 but they sell it to us at rm5. The musroom cost rm2 in ranau town, and they sold it to us for rm5 also. We are so dissapointed.

7. Even though, we had a very unforgettable memory over there. The trip was so nice. The place is so cold and there is so many beautiful place to see.

8. My suggestion, people in Kundasang has to be teach to accept tourist in a friendly way. And i hope that even though it is a tourist spot, but putting the price up high is inappropriate.
